Parish Priest's Message
A Message from Fr Tomy Manakattu ~ Parish Priest

The Parish of St Sebastian’s wants to welcome you all to our faith community.
The Parish seeks to assist the faithful in the faith formation process by providing a faith environment where you and your child are welcome to deepen your experience of the person of Jesus Christ. Each of us may be at different stages of that journey but each of us has a story to share which assists others to know that God is present in our lives and graces us with gifts for the good of our community.
An important part of the story of Jesus is our ability to seek forgiveness when we hurt others, to become a people who are thankful for our lives and to share the gifts we have been entrusted with for the good of others. Over the years we offer the children who have been baptized in the Catholic Church the opportunity to celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. These sacraments are the first steps that a child takes in living out their baptism within the Christian community. The sacraments are not just something we receive they are expression of how we wish to live in relationship with God and with each other.
We also want to assure people of other faith traditions that you are welcome to contact me and to talk about your own spiritual journey.
Be united in prayer and join in daily Mass so that you may get personal contact with the person of Jesus.
